iPhone 14’s supply chain likely to escape geopolitical tensions: Study

According to seasoned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple’s next iPhone 14 series is likely to remain untouched by the current geopolitical tensions as the American multinational tech company is gearing up to launch its next-generation smartphone soon.

Although some investors are doubting the mass manufacturing plan and distribution schedule of the iPhone 14 models which might be impacted by geopolitics.  There have been also growing tensions between China and Taiwan as well, but Kuo stated that as per his research, Foxconn's iPhone producing facility in India plans to export the latest 6.1-inch iPhone 14 parallelly to China in the second half of 2022.

For the iPhone 14 series, the smartphone major has been growing its list of supply chain partners. The ongoing movements presumably serve as a safeguard against political and economic volatility in addition to negotiating the best prices for components.

For instance, Kuo said in July that Apple's supply chain for the iPhone 14 was already well-prepared to handle momentary shortages and supply gaps caused by particular suppliers experiencing difficulties. The demand for the iPhone 14 will rise in important markets like China, which has reportedly prompted the company to expand its supplier orders to almost 95 million devices for the second half of 2022.

On a positive note, Apple is usually seen as the lone outlier in a stagnant smartphone market. Where compared to its previous years, the company's products, particularly current-generation models, are selling at an unprecedented rate.

Meanwhile, next-generation Apple AirPods are expected to receive USB-C charging cases in 2023. Speculations have it that Apple AirPods Pro will not have fitness tracking capabilities, temperature or heart rate sensing, or any other features. However, Apple will probably focus on improving the audio experience of its popular earbuds.
