Capgemini acquires Braincourt to boost its data & analytics abilities

Renowned IT MNC, Capgemini, has reportedly announced that it has signed a share purchase agreement (SPA) to acquire Braincourt GmbH, an expert in offering business intelligence and data science services.

As per reports, the deal is expected to help Capgemini boost its data and analytics capabilities in Germany as well as Northern Europe.

Braincourt GmbH was founded in 2000 and is based in Stuttgart, Germany. The company has its presence in Austria as well as Switzerland and is known for its prowess in data science, business intelligence, and advanced project management solutions.

Braincourt offers these services in key areas, such as HR, Finance, Logistics, and Production. The firm’s client base is quite similar to that of Capgemini’s, and consists of well-known brands in the construction, automotive, telecommunications, and energy sectors.

Zhiwei Jiang, Capgemini’s CEO of Insights & Data Global Business Line, and one of the members of the Group Executive Committee, spoke about Braincourt’s role in helping the organization enhance its business processes and performance management.

Jiang addes that Braincourt would bring forth its strong history of designing and implementing innovative AI, business intelligence, data science, and analytics solutions to help the company achieve its goals.

Günter Hauser, Executive Partner of Braincourt, revealed that the company was eager to work with Capgemini to help the latter boost its data and analytics offerings.

The acquisition, says Hauser, would not only benefit Braincourt’s team members, but also its renowned clients who would then have access to a wider range of services that can be provided to them across the world.

For the uninitiated, Capgemini is a world leader when it comes to collaborating with organizations to manage and transform their daily business operations by leveraging its cutting-edge technologies.

The company has more than 350,000 team members in over 50 nations and is a trusted expert in matters, such as business strategy, design, and operations. Capgemini Group had apparently reported global profits of $17.65 billion in 2021.
