Zuoyebang announces 390% increase in paid users over this summer

The Chinese online learning companies have been witnessing tremendous growth since the past few months due to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic. As per the latest news China’s e-learning platform Zuoyebang, has emerged as one of the growing online education providers in the nation during this challenging period.

According to sources familiar with the knowledge of the matter, the total number of registrations paid for live streaming courses in Zuoyebang grew 390% year on year to a total of 7.8 million registrations over the summer.

Over 1.71 million students chose no-discount courses, which was up 350% year-on-year. Of these students, more than 67 percent were converted from the online learning aid platform Zuoyebang Super APP, which significantly reduced the costs of new student enrollments and enabled it to maintain its recruitment costs below the average for the industry.

To date, Zuoyebang 's education apps have reached 170 million active monthly users and more than 50 million active daily users. Moreover, more than 60% of all users live outside Chinese first and second-tier cities – furthering the commitment of the provider to inclusive training.

Chen Gongming, Zuoyebang co-founder, said that the company's ongoing success comes from the innovative use of new technologies and ongoing traffic from the Zuoyebang Super APP. This unique strategy enables it to achieve both magnitude and efficiency and lays a strong foundation for future growth. He also cited that firm is all in for the development of future generations and in the future, Zuoyebang will explore new courses to grow with new business models.

In recent years, the online learning landscape across the world has boomed and this upward trend will continue. Reliable sources cite that over 194 million Chinese K12 students have switched to online learning as throughout the first half of 2020 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
